My first interactive music project, in collaboration with Amena Hayat and Arnav Wagh.
Originally designed to be played with a glove equipped with flex sensors to cycle through musical patterns by bending fingers.
Soon, FiveSquare was adapted for use without the glove interface, now playable with a series of keystrokes and mouse movements.
In 2018, I composed “33, Null” for FiveSquare — a score consisting only of a series of keystrokes to be cycled through over any duration of time.
Later that year, I showed “33, Null” and FiveSquare at the Web Audio Conference at TU Berlin.
